Spell of Return
This spell uses your vital force and is so crafted that power builds with time and proximity to you. You need not set a full altar nor cast a circle for this spell. In fact, it is best performed at a desk or table just before bedtime. You must still take a ritual bath as preparation and wear your ritual robes. This spell is more Vodun than Wiccan, designed specifically for the return of borrowed items including cash.
Requirements:
Your thurible — if it is small then find a chafing dish, brass planter, or any fireproof bowl large enough to
hold two 3x5 index cards.
Two white 3x5 index cards 1 red votive or coach candle Red pen or pencil
Dragon's Blood incense or any incense that is red to purple in color.
Stick matches or matchbook Small red drawstring bag or mojo bag. If you cannot make or find a small drawstring bag then
the infant department at most grocery stores will carry infant socks. A little red sock tied with red cord or rubber band will work just fine.
Procedure
If not using your altar then seat yourself at desk or table with all the spell tools before you. Center the fireproof bowl with the votive candle set a few inches in front of it. The incense should be centered a few inches behind the bowl. Light the incense then the votive candle. Turn down lights in the room and return to your seat.
Take the two 3x5 cards. If one side is lined use the solid side only. On one card, with red pen, write the name of
the borrowed item and a brief description and/or a little sketch. Fill the card with your writing and sketching. On the second index card write the name and description of the borrower. Again fill the card — write the person's name, age, hair color, telephone number, favorite food, anything you can think of. Place both cards in the bowl.
Pass a stick match through the incense and light it from the flame of the candle. Pickup a corner of the top card in your bowl
and as you put the match to it chant: "Two are one." Immediately drop the card to the bowl and keep chanting 'Two are
one' while both cards burn. Maintain the chant for several minutes after the fire goes out then test to see if you can touch the bowl. Keep chanting and testing until you can touch both the bowl and the ashes, then tilt the bowl a bit to the side and use your hand to push and scoop the ashes into the red bag or sock. Pull the drawstring tight or tie the neck of the sock with cord or
elastic.
With mojo bag in hand turn your attention to the votive candle. Keep the bag tight in your hand while you chant:
"Here say name of borrower", bring it back And I will set you free.
Repeat this chant until the votive candle burns out or at least for one hour then quietly utter: "So mote it
be." You may now put the spell tools away or leave them to be put away in the morning. You must keep the little bag or sock with you at all times. Place it under your pillow while you sleep; carry it with you in pocket or purse during the day. Any time you become aware of the bag, see it or touch it, think in your mind: "Bring it back and I will set you free."
When the item is returned take the bag outside and open it. Shake the ashes into wind to disperse the energies. This must be done.
