Cosmic Love

Two stars meet in the sky
Each dimmed by the shadow of their life
Trying to break free from darkness
Just looking for the gateway

It opens before them
A mutual look into a better world
Where there need not be sorrow
But happiness and joy reign supreme

An erratic orbit has brought them here
To glimpse another world together
Each following their own way
Reaching this point together

One asks "Is this my destiny?"
The question goes unanswered
The other asks "Is this my destiny?"

As they hover looking into the world
Holding a steady course
Pondering what they are seeing
Each with serious questions

Living in the shadows for so long
Has filled their auras with fear and doubt
Not believing such a world can exist
On such an earthly plane

There is silent communication
Each projecting thoughts to the other
"Lend me your light"
"I give you my light"

The end of the shadows are at hand
As the two become closer
Their light burning brighter
The whole greater than the sum
